Situated in Godalming, Surrey, this 450 year old grade 2 listed property was a complex project involving: reducing the floors as more height was needed within the cottage; refurbishing the existing well with new lighting; making good old lime brick work and lime plaster including iron stonework to match the existing; structural repairs to existing masonry; repairs to structural oak timbers; working closely with Darwin Bat Ecologist to ensure the well being of 70 bats rousting on site; and, installing a glazed floating stair case and frameless glass bookcase to create a stunning viewing gallery from the lounge.
